Larger Systems Now Being Set Up in the Middletown Facility

The next phase of our move into the Middletown facility is now underway. Up until now, the equipment brought over has been what we refer to as light duty equipment. These are lines that are not bolted to the floor, such as flow wrapping systems. They can be disconnected, loaded onto a truck, brought to the new facility, reconnected, and put into service with minimal downtime.

We have now begun relocating the much larger, more complex systems. These units are structural and require a full dismantling process before they can be moved. Many of them include multi-level assemblies, such as two-story frames with scales on an upper mezzanine and baggers positioned below. Because these systems are bolted to the floor and built into place, each move takes significantly more time. Every unit must be taken apart, transported, and rebuilt inside the Middletown facility, a process that can take several days per system.

This marks the second major wave of the transition. Based on current progress, all heavy duty equipment moves are expected to be completed by the end of the month, or technically by the end of the year. As these larger systems are reassembled and brought online, the Middletown facility continues to move closer to full operational capacity.
